Thanks for your patience! I think I may have found a way to get the Settings page to load properly. Try using this link, instead of the link from the FAQ page:
https://www.dr-bob.org/cgi-bin/pb/settings.pl
For me, this causes the Settings page to load completely without the long delay.
Let me know if this works for you
