I'm currently taking 75mg of effexor xr. I also take cylert for the fatigue that effxr gives me. If effexor inhibits the reuptake of NE as well could'nt I raise my dose and that would counteract the fatigue it gives me?

Hi Jay,
IMHO I don't think this would work, but it may be worth a try. I'm going through the same thing. It seems that Effexor only affects NE when it's upped to extremely high dosages(300mg.+). Sounds like you may want to consider augmentation w/Wellbutrin if your doc. will allow it. Make sure you've given the Effexor a fair trial 3 to 4 weeks, first. Good luck! Paul
