Anyone have any bingeing problems associated with Remeron? Some doctors have told me that any weight gain associated with Remeron use is mild and transient. This was not so in my case, I gained almost 100lb., began bingeing, and continued for a short time after its discontinuation. Otherwise, Remeron was a great antidepressent. Are there any effective stratagies to counteract this side effect?
Thank you,
Justin

>YES, I TOO HAVE GAINED A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF WEIGHT FROM REMERON. I TAKE PAXIL DURING THE DAY AND REMERON FOR SLEEP AT NIGHT..I LIKE THE REMERON FOR SLEEP AS OPPOSED TO USING BENZOS FOR SLEEP. THE REMERON CAUSES A LONGER DEEPER SLEEP AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED. I WORK OUT ALMOST EVERYDAY IN ORDER TO KEEP UP WITH THE BINGES AND SLOWER METABOLISM I HAVE EXPERIENCED FROM REMERON..GOOD LUCK..OH, SOME PEOPLE SAY ADDING WELLBUTRIN MIGHT HELP, AND ALSO INCREASING REMERON DOSE MIGHT HELP..
