Will some knowledgable soul please explain why alcoholic beverages should not be consumed while taking AD's? I have been on Serzone for a few months now and I would like to know whether or not I can have a glass of wine now and then. Or even an entire bottle if the spirit really moves me. : ) Just kidding. I have always thought it was a no-no because alcohol is a depressant and would cancel out the AD's effects. Are there other health risks that we should be aware of? My doc is pretty vague about this. Thanks muchly....

Hello again! I should have searched the archives FIRST before i posted my question--I just found what I was looking for. If anyone has any other opinions or new information please feel free to post somethin'. My anti-depressant is working well enough that I have been wanting to go out and whoop it up.........but I want to be careful. Probably best to not do it at all, but we all know how hard it is to always do "the best thing." : ) Hope everyone is having a good day!
