I'm supposed to take:
60mg of Celexa
75mg of Trazadone
50mg of Topamax
all at night.I actually take:
40mg of Celexa
50mg of Trazadone
50mg of TopamaxSince I have lowered the Celexa and Trazadone I feel so much better, my emotions are less "squished" etc. But sometimes I wonder if I'm pushing the envelope on the depression. I can't go back to being so tired though.
What I'm wondering though is asking my Doctor about taking the Celexa down another 20mg or so and adding Wellbutrin in the morning. The Celexa has worked very well for me and I hate to give it up completely. I also am afraid to give up on the Trazadone and take the chance on not sleeping.
I'd appreciate any thoughts from anyone that has used this combination...if it's a combination that can be done.Barb

Barb,
I take 300 mg Wellbutrin plus 30 mg Celexa. In my case the Celexa was added to the Wellbutrin rather than the other way round, lowering the WB dose from 400 to 300 with the addition of Celexa. I started the Celexa six weeks ago and just got up to the 30 mg dose yesterday, so the jury's still out on effectiveness, but I can tell you that it is a possible combination. According to my psychiatrist the combo of an SSRI + Wellbutrin is quite common, and very helpful for some.
I can't advise on the presence of Trazodone and Topomax in the mix, but maybe someone else can help (hopefully your doctor too!)
Good luck!

The Wellbutrin was just added to counteract the sedation caused by the Topamax (I could only take up to 50 mg without having severe sedation the next day).I've read many posts praising Wellbutrin, but it has not worked for me. I have been irritable and the racing, obsessive thoughts I used to have have come back. But, as we always say, everyone's different. I believe my pdoc is going to try Provigil, a medicine used for narcolespy, next.
Hope this helps.
