Has anyone gone from one antidepressant to another? I went down on Zoloft for 3 weeks slowly .. and today just started back up on Celexa. I'm wondering if anyone else has gone through this and what experiences have happened.

> Has anyone gone from one antidepressant to another?Your question made me chuckle, because I would say that more than 75% of people on this board have done the AD shuffle for years.... I have been on probably 12 meds in the last six years.
so yes, there are lots of us with this type of experience.. and it's no fun.
My experience with switching back and forth between the SAME meds (ie. from Celexa to Zoloft to Celexa, etc) is that the effectiveness is decreased of the original med.
My suggestion (and I'm not a doc) is that if you've had success on a med, but suffer "poop out" -- try to increase the dose first before switching to something else.
If that doesn't work.. or the side effects are intolerable.. then try a new med.
Hope this helps.
