SJW gives me a side effect I used to get from Serzone. When I move my eyes I hear a whooshing in my ears. No visual tracers though. A marked difference is that SJW seems to work.

In reply to SJW like Serzone?, posted by Fred Potter on April 4, 2001, at 19:49:11
My information about SJW may be out of date, but when I last read about it, no one knew exactly how it worked. It seemed to have mild actions of both MAOI's and SSRI's.
Serzone is basically an SSRI ( a weak one, and also some mild norepinephrine reuptake blockade) that also blocks certain serotonin receptors that are thought to cause the anxiety, insomnia, and sexual dysfunction seen with other SSRI's -- kind of a "designer drug."
So they work by somewhat different actions, but obviously they do something to you similar.
This is the end of the thread.
