I was prescibed 50mg of zoloft for mild depresseion about 3 weeks ago, in terms of being able to concentrate, I thought the Zoloft was effective (I wasn't on it long enough to see any real benefit for the depression) but didn't like the side effect of decreased interest in sex and difficulty w/ ejaculation. My doctor has now prescribed Effexor XR 75mg, I'm willing to try it by I'm concerned about withdrawl if the side effects too much to deal with. I thinking of asking why he didn't consider Wellbutrin SR as an alternative to the Effexor XR, it seems to have low incidents of sexual side effects and fewer withdrawl problems. Any advice would be welcome.
My secondary concern is using any of these drugs and also being prone to migraine headaches. I take Imitrix for the migraines and wonder if it is OK to use Imitrix with these antidepressants.
