I started taking Remeron about 5 weeks ago, while at the same time, tapering off of Topomax. I've now been off of the Topomax for 11 days and counting. Now, however, I have significant anxiety on a daily basis, which my pdoc is treating with Klonopin. The anxiety seems to be increasing despite the Klonopin doses though. I was initially able to control it with .5 to .75mg, but now I have to take at least 1.25mg. Could I still be feeling the effects of going off of Topomax (I was on it for 5 months)? I don't want to end up stuck on Klonopin forever. Maybe the agitation could be coming from the Remeron (15mg/day)? I have also titrated up to 100mg/day of Luvox which I've been on for about 3 weeks. I'm quite suprised that I have this anxiety on a daily basis despite being on both Remeron and Luvox. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I might do? I figure my choices are: 1)continue with the status quo and see if the anxiety decreases and then wean off of Klonopin; 2) continue with the Klonopin and Luvox, but wean off of the Remeron; 3) increase the Luvox dose to 150mg/day and hope that reigns in the anxiety. It has been a harrowing experience coming off of Topomax, and my fear is that it might have left me with an anxiety syndrome of some sort.

Why not just keep them all? Its not so bad to be on Klonopin. I know people who take it regularly for various reasons.
