Geodon

Keck, Paul E. Jr. MD et al. Ziprasidone in the Short-Term Treatment of Patients with Schizoaffective Disorder: Results from Two Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled, Multicenter Studies. J of Clin Psychopharmacology. Feb 2001:
"Ziprasidone also has moderate potency in inhibiting serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake. The inhibition of serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake is the putative antidepressant mechanism of tricyclic antidepressants and venlafaxine."

Just how big is the antidepressant effect of Ziprasidone? Right now I'm just thinking of it as another buspirone as far as ADs are concerned.

Geodon is such a downer. I usually have a pretty high drug tolerance, but this knocked me out.
It was frightening for my family, they couldn't get into my apt. they thought I'd done the deed. Yeah right, like I'd kill myself in front of my pet guinea pigs. . .
Oh well, please be careful while taking this, and don't drive until you're used to the effects.

love, Autumn
