Can anyone suggest a way or ways to approach this situation: A 78 y.o man was given 3 spinal injections of steroid(sorry, don't know which one; it was for arthritis) over about a month's time, ending early May.
The last 2 or three weeks(late May, early June) he has been cycling in and out of delusional and combative states . His glucose levels are way abnormal and he has lost weight(yes he is diabetic as well).Psych drugs are reported not to be working or possibly making him worse(possibly clozapine).
Any suggestions on how to approach this, what might be done would be appreciated.
Thank you.
Harold

>dopamine and clonopine can really friggin weird anyone out. Make sure his blood pressure isn't being "controlled" by any thing and let him be off of drugs for a bit . He will more than likley level out on his own. We went through this with my Grandma, she died at 101. It was too many conflicting drugs. We brought her home, took her off everything and within a week she was totally coherant. Best of luck, Kelly
