drug side-effects and being a student

Posted by lissa on June 10, 2001, at 23:02:26

It is difficult to find antidepressants and antianxiety drugs that work for me as a student because the one's I've tried seem to impair either my memory, ability to concentrate, or make me too tired to study. I plan a visit to my doc soon, but would be interested to know whether there are students (or other people who do work requiring lots of concentration) who have found a particular anti-anxiety or anti-depressant drug successful.

There are antidepressants that sufferers find stimulating like buproprion, venlafaxine, tranylcypromine, and pindolol. Or you could have a liberal doctor prescribe a stimulant like pemoline: http://www.dr-bob.org/tips/split/Stimulants-for-depression.html
