SalArmy4Me - help, what does anticholinergic mean?

Posted by Janelle on July 16, 2001, at 19:59:36

I looked it up in a medical dictionary and all it did was define it with the same basic terminology! Ack. You are so good with this stuff, could you give me a layperson's definition of anticholinergic - I read it a lot in literature about the meds and don't get it. Thanks.

Um, I know I'm not sal, but I've dealt with anticholinergic drugs before. They're drying. Dry mouth, constipation, sometimes even scratchy eyes and/or dry skin. Drink lotsa water. :)

Hope that Helps!
