Prozac and constipation?

I recently added 10 mg Prozac to 300mg Effexor XR to try and abate the obsessive thinking. I think it is starting to work???
My obsessive thought were about fear of cancer...intestine.
The last 2-3 weeks I have not gone regularly and had to take a laxative.
Can Prozac cause constipation?

That's an anticholinergic side-effect that will go away with time. In the meantime, eat Raisin Bran and stay away from Metamucil-type laxatives which can be habit-forming such that you may not be able to use the bathroom properly without them.
