The doc just prescribed 100 mg for ADD. I asked for Adderall because I've had success with it in the past. He said he wanted to try Provigil because it's not addictive. I never felt addicted to Adderall.
I was taking 20 mg of Prozac, he decreased it to 10 because he said it would be too stimulating combined with the Provigil. I've yet to feel a thing.
The Provigil has NOT worked yet. I guess it's been about a week. How long does it take for it to take effect? Adderall is instant. Also, this stuff is expensive. And mighty darn expensive not to be working.

Stick to what works! He should know that. But doctors these days are scared of the DEA and lawsuits and such.
I think Provigil could be helpful for ADD. I tried adding it to Parnate, and the effect was stimulant-like (although it didn't make my blood pressure go up nearly as much as Dexedrine and Adderall did).

I started out on 100 mg and I didn't feel a thing either (and that was in combination with Parnate, which tends to be stimulating too).

A couple hours, I think.
This whole thing of doctors refusing to prescribe the more controlled drugs is really getting ridiculous. I mean, they're doctors. They have DEA licenses, they're *allowed* to prescribe these drugs when they're indicated. Don't they get that?
