I feel that ssri's do not work effectively at least in the short run for anxiety. REMERON is the way to go. After taking such, its very fast acting, like next day, your anxiety should be quelled. Far more superior than ssri's . ALso 2 more added bonuses, it works good for major depression and restores sleep. Remeron along with xanax, should wipe out anxiety, panic, major depression and sleep disorder.
Now alot ofusers report wieght gain. Yes your appetite will increase and next day sedation may be a problem. To counteract such, i drink some coffee next day. Works great. OR my pdoc gave me desipramine at a low dose 25-50mg, wipes out sedation and causes no or limited anxiety. The hunger is still there. Eating properly is where this comes in. Or if your hungry, drink a coffee, should suppress your appetite.
I still suffer from a dull mood. Adding a low dose of an ssri, or effexor may help. But as for now, im fine. Working out, doing what you like, eating properly, should make a big difference.
My mood is also up and down somedays. I may add neruonitin, to stabilize my mood, someusers report euphoric effect for an added benifit, and also, helps anxiety.just some thoughts

I found most of what you said about Remeron to be true also. I found it far superior to the SSRIs in terms of anxiety, depression and speed of action. It was *almost* THE med for me....
Pity it made me just as impotent as all the others (and I still get jealous/pissed when I hear so many stories from people where it has *enhanced* their sexual function)

Your right, the day after i have absolutely no sex drive and no anxiety. i believe axiety and sex have some close traits, moreso due to excess dopamine or norepinephrine, Remerons histamine properties i beleive is the suppressor for the sex problems. Although once i upped my dose to 45mg and felt stimulation, no sleeiness though some anxiety, so i lowered it. Seems that meds which increase nor, and dopmaine cause anxiety if your suffer from panic and anxiety. Today i drank a cup of black coffee, and smoked a cigarette, about 20min later i was in a state of panic. I pulled a no no here, i crushed up a .5mg xanax and snorted it! at least i calmed down!
genops. a good war story. Last summer, i decided to take 8mg of yohimbine. Well low and behold, FUCK, i went into a state of panic, along with a stiffy and felt like i could blow it in 2 seconds. It was like a good/bad thing together. Again i had to down 1mg xanax, to calm me down. I found out that benzos are the brake in your brain to slow down the dopamine/norepinephrine. esp norepinephrine. I have no sex drive when i take more than .5mg xanax.
Like i said, be horney and anxious , or calm and limp!
