Hi, I'm currently taking 375mg of effexor XR (in conjunction with 200mg of wellbutrin) and I still haven't achieved a remission. My doc says people have gone as high as 600mg (another post on this site said 750mg!).
I'm committed to doing whatever it takes to get better, but I'm naturally concerned about the safety of entering this dosage-zone that has never been clinically studied. I'd love to hear from anyone who has been on very high doses of Effexor XR and would care to elaborate on his or her experience...?Peter T

I have seen cases up to 600mg, without any server side effect. You can also combo your current dosage with Remeron, or Litium. Efexor will than wfork better for you.

Hi,
I was on 450mg of Effexor XR for quite awhile, say 8 months, maybe? Then, just recently, another doctor suggested that this may be feeding into my rapid cycling. So, now I've been down-played to 300mg and I suspect more depletion will be happening.
In essence, I didn't notice a thing with side-effects, other than the non-existance of a libido and constipation - that I attribute to the AD. Other than that - smooth sailing for a piece of happy mind.
Best wishes mate.
Jane
