Questions about prozac, zyprexa, remeron

Posted by Dona on October 19, 2001, at 14:49:20

I take zyprexa 5 mg to supplement prozac 60 mg and recently added 15 mg of rememron. The rememron really helps the sleep but I do not know if the other two do anythig; And I hate taking an anti-psychotic. Is there anything better out there for depression? I have been on Prozac, at varying doses, for 10 years, and sometimes it helps and sometimes it does not. Right now I am at the bottom and tryiing to crawl out and it is hard. Also, does remeron help sleep at higher doses? Needless to say, I have very resistant depression in cycles and this is a bad cycle.

The remeron is actually more stimulating at
higher doses. If you are having really bad
cycling (ups/downs) then zyprexa may help you
and I suspect that is why it was prescribed.
If you really are anti-anti-psychotic ;), then
you may want to consider a mood stabilizer like
depakote,neurontin,lamictal, etc.
