I am new to Effexor, I have the medication but have yet to take it. I have read the warnings for breastfeeding, which tell me to not take the medication, or stop breastfeeding. Unfortunatley, neither is an option! I have tried Paxil, Prozac, Wellbutrin, and Zoloft ( and 22 years of no medication). The prozac was best, but it is no longer effective. I need to know if anyone has taken this AND breastfed, and if so what the outcome for both baby and mother were.

That sounds like a pretty definite warning to me. What does your doc say? I took Zoloft while breastfeeding my first son (now 5). I took Zoloft at the end of the first trimester of my second son and on through breastfeeding (he's now 3). They are both absolutely fine. Were you not able to tolerate Zoloft? Another thing you might want to have checked is your Thyroid levels -- low levels can affect how your medications are metabolized.
Be careful.
Good luck.
