Adrafinil has effects on social anxiety?

Posted by adamie on October 24, 2001, at 17:19:17

hi. I have been taking Adrafinil for 6 days along with my Zyprexa 5mg, Ginko biloba, and american ginseng.

I have noticed that I am more social very recently. I am going to call this girl I know pretty soon. Normally I would be extremely nervous and worried. Yet not really worried much at all right now. And generally out in public I have been less self concious and less nervous also.

Has anyone else had any positive experiences with adrafinil? Is it possible that perhaps it is really the herbs helping my social anxiety? well bye

I doubt it was the herbs. I have used ridiculous dosages of both, and moderate dosages of both for extended periods of time and noticed nothing. Adrafinil, being a stimulant, may increase confidence as well (take enough adderal and suddenly you are sure that you could beat up God). I'm going to have to try some one of these days, perhaps combine it with selegiline (Everything's better with selegiline, seems to be my motto these days). I have a little bit of modafinil (I found someone willing to sell it bulk and I got a sample to test) and have been playing some with it lately, need to do some more tests but if I like it well enough I may be going on it long term instead. From the few people I've talked to that have tried both in comparable dosages, they are basically the same cept you have much more chance of liver damage (still relatively small) with adrafinil and mod. seems to be longer lasting.
