Amisulpride 50 mgs/day has helped with my dysthymia, reduced my tension and anxiety and generally given me a sense of ease and social comfort. It is the first thing that has really worked well since I took Nardil. (Most everything else has made me too nervous and has not worked anyway.)
I could still use a little more energy and motivation though-- can Wellbutrin be taken with it? I have had some success with WB for depression and low energy before, but I stopped due to the side effect of anxiety; I figure, this time, the Amisulpride will stop the WB from causing as much anxiety?
Also, can Amisulpride at 50 mgs/day cause TD? Thanks.

Hi Ed,

Thanks for posting this message.
I have all the symptoms you describe, and SP,with very little luck besides these meds which helped me with SP and dysthymia :
Wellbutrin (lots of anxiety) Nardil (insomnia, wieght gain and lack of sex drive/motivation), and Celexa (insomnia, tremor and lack of sex drive).
I have been looking into trying Amisulpride, but it is not availiable in the USA.
Oh well. it looks quite promising on paper, that is a certainty.
>It is the first thing that has really worked >well since I took Nardil. (Most everything else >has made me too nervous and has not worked >anyway.)
Me too. I liked the Nardil, but the side-effects got to be more then I could bear at the time.
> I could still use a little more energy and >motivation though-- can Wellbutrin be taken with >it?I cannot say myself. I have not read of others doing so myself.
>I have had some success with WB for depression >and low energy before, but I stopped due to the >side effect of anxiety; I figure, this time, >the Amisulpride will stop the WB from causing as >much anxiety? When I was on Wellbutrin I had to be on Xanax or Klonopin, else the tremor and anxiety was more then I could handle.
It was motivational however !
> Also, can Amisulpride at 50 mgs/day cause TD? Thanks.I have not read that this is a side-effect with Amisulpride in my study of its' effects.
I am glad that you have found some relief for this disorder.

> Hi
Does Amisulpride work in the same way as Zyprexa and can you tell me where I can get it from?
(Amisulpride that is)Zyprexa helped me somewhat but seemed to completely leave me bereft of any emotions.
Thx....Denise
