I've been taking 45 mg/day for about 5 years for major depression and mild-moderate OCD. Every couple months, I need to cut back my dose slightly (to 30 or so) for just a couple days. Otherwise, I start having trouble sleeping. Cutting back very slightly like this every few months seems to increase the histamine again in my body and calm me down enough to sleep well again.

Don't know if this would work for you, but you could talk to your doctor about cutting back slightly (maybe to 22.5 or 15 mg) for a couple days...then wait a couple more (it takes about 1 week for me to feel the effect) and see if that helps calm you down.

Good luck!

Jill
