I am thinking that I may need to switch to an MAOI sometime in the near future, I have had good results with TCAs in the past but this time they dont seem to be doing the trick. If they dont resolve this after I add some things, I am going to have to make the move.
I am familiar with the cheese effect/tyramine problem and I know various types of the good mead are no-nos...but are all ?? I remember reading(or think I do)that clear alcohol is okay, it is tyramine free...Am I correct ??

Most varieties of alcoholic drinks are okay; the main exception is tap beer. (There are also a couple of obscure bottled beers that have caused problems. Most U.S. and Canadian bottled beers seem to be okay, though.)
It's possible that any antidepressant will potentiate the effects of alcohol, so it's always a good idea to start with a very small amount of alcohol to see what it does to you.
You also asked about drowsiness. Some people seem to get insomnia at night and drowsiness in the afternoon. This seems to be more of a circadian rhythm disruption thing rather than a stimulating/sedating thing (did that make sense?).
