Foods which are bad for mental illness/depression?

Can someone please tell me which foods to avoid. I ate some icecream and i dunno why but 5 days i have been stable as in feeling not too bad... and now i am suddenly worse.

can someone tell me which foods to avoid??????????????????????????????

Avoid alcohol, sodas that contain Nutrasweet and excess caffeine. Foods dont matter that much in depression

I wouldn't avoid anything...perhaps alcohol (stretching the definition of "food")

More importantly, avoid illegal drugs like substituted amphetamines ( MDMA (Ecstasy) )
and methamphetamine.

You should look at it the other way...try something like chocolate, and see how it effects your mood..

Generally food that contains all the essential fatty acids is considered good for mental health

fruit and vegetables
fish (sardines, tuna, salmon),
nuts

Folic acid is also very important: spinich and dark leafy greens
