anyone try this combination or similar? what were the results, currently taking 30MG paxil, 100MG wellbutrin, and 2 x 10MG dexedrine spansules a day. i also take xanax and valium as needed for anxiety, its really too soon to tell how this combo will work, but i defintitely see market improvment in my ability to concentrate, and my social skills are getting better as i feel more confident.

Hi can you say how long you've been on that combo and what order you started those things in?
I have taken paxil in the past and it was too sedating on its own, but it did help my social anxiety a lot. Currently I'm trying stimulants alone and I think I will need to end up most likely being on an ssri low dose as well.
That seems like an interesting combo, in a way almost the same type of effect as a maoi but with better cognitive effects and less side effects.
Do you feel stimulants alone increased or decreased social anxiety and why?
Hope you don't mind the quiz. I'm happy your finding relief and excited to hear more about it.

I just added the wellbutrin primarily to counteract the sexual side effects of the paxil. i started taking the paxil with occasional valium for social anxiety and depression, and found i needed the dexedrine to keep me focused during the day. i think stimulants alone would work well, but only in a transient (when they are first started), klonopin with paxil works the best, but i dont like to take them unless i have to as i dont like that foggy feeling. been on the paxil for about 4 months, the dexedrine for about 2.

Well I decided to try paxil with my dexedrine to see if it would help me sleep.... oops. It used to be sedating but last night kept me up awake even worse. Not hyper or anything, just awake, and a bit nauseated. Very interesting that paxil seems to have a completely different effect on me in combination with dexedrine than it did alone. I think I won't try that again. So I guess that combo doesn't work so well for me, too activating. Also I noticed it really dampened down the good effects of the dexedrine to barely noticeable for me.

i found paxil was quite stimulating for the first 3 or so weeks and i encountered sleep problems, then it became mildly sedating, i take 5MG valium every other day or so which keeps my anxiety level low as well, dont know if that helps or not
