I take 30mg Remeron and 10mg of Celexa. Very few side effects, just very tired. My doctor just added the celexa, 11 days ago. I am so amazed because, I have NEVER felt better. It is like this was a happy pill. I was just wondering if anyone else out there has had success with these two combos, and if the effects lasted. Thanks.

Hi,
That's a wonderful response to the most selective SSRI Celexa. Even though Dr. Bob's associates were not impressed with it (versus other SSRIs), Celexa has gained a reputation world-wide as an effective prophylactic treatment for depressive disorders.

I have been on Celexa for 2 years with very good results. The tiredness will ease up with time. In a few months, a new version of Celexa (called escitalopram) will be on the market. It causes less drowsiness than the current Celexa. I have never tried Remeron.

I took 80 mg of Celexa some times ago and my doc added 7.5 mg of Remeron. I felt stoned (sleepy, foggy, drowsy) so I stopped this combo after only 3 days. My pdoc has (interestingly) only one lady who can tolerate Remeron. Try it instead !

Thanks.Celexa and Remeron: Well, it has been 19 days since my doctor added 10mg Celexa. This is the best I have ever felt in YEARS. The drowsiness is going away, and I have had no other side effects. I pray that I don't crash, and this medication combo will continue to work for me, FOREVER..I am crossing my fingers. My worries, anxiety, fears seem to have been lifted away. Hmmm..do I worry now, that the medication may stop working..

My wife is on Celexa and Remeron, among others.
She, quite often, experience tremors, abondant sweating, chills during the night.
We recently took a one week trip and she run out of these two drugs. the above symptoms almost disappeared. Back home, the syptoms start reappearing after 6 days. Any idea whether this is all coincidential or whether either one drug is most likely involved...?
This is the end of the thread.
