I think I have AAD with my depression being currently treated with Prozac. I was tried on Ritalin early this week and within 36 hours had the worst headache ever -- ended up in ER requiring pain management.
My Pdoc told me to stop the Ritalin and increase the Prozac by 20 mg. I read previously in other psycho babble conversations that wellbutrin can be augmented to Prozac...does this really make a difference??????

I've been on the combination of Wellbutrin and Prozac close to 4 years. I'm being treated for bulimia. They originally worked real well. But like everything else, they "pooped out" on.

I was experiencing weight gain on it as well as loss of libido so my doc added wellbutrin. After a couple of months on the combination I started having some very strange physical side effects (muscle and joint pain, breakthrough bleeding between periods, sudden extreme weight gain) which I a attributed to the drug combination. My doc took me off the prozac and I stayed on the wellbutrin alone. After the prozac had time to wear off, I started noticing at work that I was more focused. I started doing some research and found out that I fit the diagnostic criteria for ADD. My doc added dexedrine SR to the wellbutrin and I'm currently doing very well on the combination. If I were you, I would certainly talk to your doctor about wellbutrin since it does have some stimulant affect and is often used to treat people with ADD. You could also try something other than ritalin, like dexedrine or adderall, these are completely different drugs and you might do very well on them.
