Bill -- I've been taking Celexa since June 2001. I have been depressed for at least 15-20 years (mom and grandmom both depressed and OCD). This past year has been wonderful for me and those around me. My doc wants to see if my seritonin is kicking in on its own at this point. I've gone from 40mg/day to 20mg/day for the past two weeks and I'm beside myself. As you might expect, the doc is on vacation until 7-16. I feel the same ol' feelings of hopelessness and desperation now.
Bill, you seem to be very knowledgeable about Celexa. Do you think another 2 weeks at 20mg will calm the depression, or is this an indication that I need to stay at 40mg? Doc is not opposed to continuing Celexa -- just wants to see how I can do on my own -- I CAN'T.
Thanks,
Calamity J
