I was wondering if anyone has ever had an allergic reaction to wellbutrin, where you get red bumps on the back of your tongue. It appeared when I began the medicine. I have to call my doctor but I wanted to get some peer input.

I tried Wellbutrin a few years ago and had an allergic reaction. Within a few hours of taking it, I broke out in hives all over my body. I didn't notice any on my tounge, but...
My doc urged me to continue the drug - saying the hives were probably a reaction to something I ate. She was wrong - as soon as I stopped the Wellbutrin, the hives went away.Hope this helps.

Wellbutrin gave me hives about 3 or 4 days being on it...however, the slow release form did not.
This is the end of the thread.
