I am back on Paxil after a six week break. As I still suffered from depression, my doctor switched me from Paxil to Wellbutrin(am on Topamax,Risperdal,Clonipan(sp)-I got a "little" manic but less depressed..but then nothing seemed to work..except Risperdal (still controlled rage and obsessive thinking practically all the time)-The doctor also added some Elavil to help me sleep longer..waking up at 3:00 a.m...that helped a couple of days but then had a few days of waking up at 1 a.m. -much worse...
I have looked through the literature and haven't seen anything about Paxil having mood stabilizing properties...I also had cut the Wellbutrin dosage to half the last two weeks I was on it to 75 I think...I have only been on medication for almost a year and half and in my fifties..I also have GAD
and post traumatic stress disorder..
