I've been on Wellbutrin for a month, and still no change, I never WANT to have sex, although the only good thing is I do climax faster and it's allot easier for me to have more then one orgasm in one night! I'm 5'3, I use to weigh 125, but when I was on Celexa and Zoloft, I gained 15lbs, and thats alot for someone my height....I've lost about 5lbs since I started Wellbutrin almost a month ago, will I keep losing? Does it take time for me to want to have sex, it's putting a damper on my relationship...How long is it going to take????

Yeah, when I was on Celexa, I gained 30 lbs. As far as sex drive: give Wellbutrin time. Back when I was just on Depakote for a mood stabilizer and Wellbutrin as my only AD, I had a really healthy sex drive; basically the Wellbutrin did not hurt my drive. It was when I added an SSRI AD to the mix that I started to have no drive! I don't know what you were on before (Celexa, Zoloft ?- both SSRIs) but you probably need to wait a while till it's completely out of your system. And, yes, I do believe you will keep losing the weight. If you're normally 15 lbs lighter, then you will return to that. I've since lost the 30 lbs I gained on Celexa.

My husband is experiencing the same thing. He has been on it for about 5 weeks and was on effexor before.

The first time I was on Wellbutrin(300 mg daily) it took between 6 - 8 weeks before my libido increased. I am a 48 year old male. The second time I was on it it didn't do anything for my libido. Apparently it depends on your body chemistry at the time when you are using it.
