Anyone out there on trileptal? I've just started taking it at 150mg 2X per day. I'm wondering about how long before results might become apparent, and what dosage people are on. Also noticable side effects. Are people combining it with other meds. What do people notice as the therapeuitic effects- lack of cycling combined with anti depressant?Thanks for any feedback!

right now im on 1600mg a day 800x2 no side effects but not to much success either

> PeterPeter, I have found that taking it at nighttime seems to screw up my sleep. So, I am taking 225mg midday with lunch. I had a distinct antidepressant reaction from it at first, but it seems to be fizzling. I suspect that is just my downward mood trend at this time of year which pulls me down no matter what. At least I am not experiencing any abrupt altitude drops which is typical for this time of year (I usually can "hear" the altimeter spinning downwards), I just notice a subtle nagging downward pull that is relatively easy to resist. I think I would have been better off if I hadn't reduced my Depakote from 250mg to 125mg simultaneously. I felt better on the higher Dep. dosage, but it *definitely* was causing this big time sleep inertia in the mornings. I just couldn't wake up! If I turned my alarm clock off and fell back to sleep I could easily sleep 14 hrs., not an option.
