Hi, has anyone had problems with Seroquel and constantly being tired?? I only take 50mg. a night and I really loved how it was helping my insomnia and anxiety. But now after taking it for a couple of weeks, I wake up(after 12 hours of sleep) feeling like I haven't slept all night and my body feels week, and I feel like this all day. Will this get better with time or will it only get worse as the medication keeps building up in my system?? Help anyone !!!

I have been on Seroquel for a year now, for anxiety and frequent nightly awakenings due to PTSD. I was also on 50mg every night. I've experienced two things.
First, I found that I could cut the dose down to 25mg and still get the same helpful effects. I sleep through the night and my anxiety is much more managable. Second, if I take the 25mg on an empty stomach about one hour prior to my bedtime, I get faster results and wake up feeling quite refreshed. The morning grogginess did pass after a couple of months on the med.
Good luck to you. Different people have different experiences, the above has been my own.

I had to get off of seroquel, they had me taking 25-100mg i believe it was four times a day.... at night i would sleep 12-13 hours, then the next day,i would feel like a zombie and sooooo sooo tired, walking around in a daze. it was terrible. at work all i could think of was if i could only nap.....i got off of this seroquel and would never go back to it.... (i also felt out of touch with reality)

I have the exact same problem. Seroquel is great for helping me sleep - but I can barely get out of bed in the morning due to extreme fatigue and sluggishness. It's even hard to stand up because I feel so weak in my legs. I'm almost constatnly late for work. I have to take 300mg to be able to sleep - can you imagine? And you're only on 50!

Wow 300mg!!! Have you been taking it for very long? I was taking 100mg. Then decided to try 50mg. and that worked, so last night I tried 25mg. and today I feel as bad as I did yesterday and I am really anxious, I don't know how many times I yelled at my kids for stupid thing.(and that was after 10 hours of sleep) My husband is great and lets me sleep in but he goes back to work tomorrow night so I am giving up on the seroquel and going back to not sleeping, either way I am miserable!!! Thanks all for your input!!
