As for your diagnoses, go to a real therapist. Don't let your neurologist and gynecologist decide what you have.
Migraines are a pain in the butt. I recently got one where I went blind in my right eye for a few minutes. I am freaked. But Serzone does nothing for migraines, and I have never been able to find a drug that does work for my particular ophthalmic migraines.
Can't you simply treat the headaches? I think there's something you're leaving out that would explain why these docs diagnosed you with something other than migraine.
Regarding Serzone, it is a good anti-anxiety drug. If you're having trouble, ask your doc if you can take the whole dose at night before bed.
With me, and with most, there are no sexual side effects, and it's considered weight neutral. The worst it did was give me a little bit of blurred vision at the beginning and dry mouth, which went away when I took it longer. The lowest therapeutic dose is supposed to be 300 mg. But it starts to work at 250 or so, and that's the dose I stayed at for a long time.
It is supposed to be helping me with my insomnia, and has done a good job over the last four years. But I am having problems again and might switch meds, though I can't imagine having to deal with another trial.
Side effects suck, but you have to stay through them to get the meds to work.
Good luck.

Well, he's the doctor, but I don't know that GAD gives you migraines. It's probably what I have, and I also have migraines and interrupted sleep, but....
Serzone does NOT interfere with your sex drive, and it does help anxiety. If you take it at night, the sleepiness shouldn't bother you either. I hope you will tough it out. It improves sleep in the first week, and it kicks in fully in about 4-6 weeks. My orgasms are fine. In fact, I have them in my sleep.

---------------I'm not sure what the research shows, but serzone seemed to dampen my drive when I was on it. It wasn't as bad as Effexor, but it wasn't as easy as being drug free.

Everybody's different, and of course it could affect anyone's sex drive. I'd sorta done that on a different thread. I should've said it's not supposed to.
I'm thinking that twenty years of marriage and aging have more of a role to play in any dampened sex drive I have!

Well I could never take more than 5o mg of serzone..
what my question is.. has anyone had similar side effects with zoloft.. i mean im just taking 25 mg and I have em.. I did not however have any sexual side effects with serzone.. but my doc said whats the sense of taking it if you just take 25 mg..any way.. I ready to flush the whole hting down the dorain.. Im calm alright.. I dont even want bothered half the time..
This is the end of the thread.
