My PDoc says he prescribes SSRI's and related drugs less and less because he believes the brain eventually adapts to these drugs and they lose their effect or something like that.
Know anything?

> Know anything?My doctor said the exact same thing. I was on prozac for 2years and felt fantastic. It was the first time I was not depressed in my life- what an awakening !! Now it no longer works and my doc put me on effexor. Effexor keeps me from the deep lows but it doesn't help much for the constant low grade mood.Any help would be appreciated !!!!! Thanks in advance !!!!
