bad reactions mixing Provigil with MAOI?

I brought up Provigil recently to my pdoc. I am currently on Nardil, and he said he doesn't want to mix an MAOI with Provigil. Apparently the combination is not well documented and he is a fairly conservative doc. He did seem open to considering the mix if I could convince him (and myself) it was safe.

Has anyone here experienced any bad reactions to mixing Provigil with an MAOI? Any hypertensive crises or life-threatening side-effects?

A few people have told me that they successfully mixed Provigil with Nardil or Parnate, but I'm not sure if they were just lucky. Some people successfully mix Wellbutrin with MAOIs even though it is counterindicated.

I'm basically trying to assess the risk so I have something to tell my doctor. Any help/advice is welcome.
