I am bipolar and wondered if anyone cycles as I do. I will go from one extreme to the other. I will work out, eat right, take really good care of myself for years. Then I will hit a period and start smoking, abusing drugs, just lay around, etc. for a period anywhere from 6 months to a year. Then eventually get motivated again and start taking care of myself again. Does anyone else suffer this type of cycling?

I think that normal people do this too, though in their case it's probably more related to changes in their environment and relationships. A weeklong vacation can be enough to throw me out of a pattern of exercise and diet. A motivated girlfriend can get me back into it. It's diverse and personal.
