Yeah I am on Lexapro and I have been on it for about 3 or 4 months. Switched from Celexa because I was getting bad headaches, but Lexapro has been working great for me. But now I kinda am starting to not know if anything is going on with it. How do you know? I know its a dumb question. And I saw the post about alcohol and I still drink whiskey and smirnoffs as well, and I really havent seen anything bad of it coming to me.

i have only been on lex 3 months, so what do i know? ... .... not much! ... except what i have read in these posts ..
.... but let me give this a shot, okay?
here's how i read your post:
1) lex has been great for me;
2) well, lex had been great for me;
3) now i'm not so sure.so it would seem that something changed that has undermined your confidence in 1) above, right?
and then there's
4) could it be alcohol?so i *think* you think that it might be the alcohol that's got you to 3) above .... maybe?
although it could be something else, going by my reading of your intution(s) ... ...
... i'd say you might be on to something.could you consider cutting out the alcohol as an EXPERIMENT ?
(alcohol is a major depressant and has the opposite effect on your neorotransmitters as lexapro .... know that saying about "spitting into the wind"?)

I only drink beer every now and then so I asked my pdoc if it was ok and his answer was yes. I could drink a beer or two no problem. Currently I don't drink because I take Xanax with my Lex. When I did drink I didn't drink to get drunk. I agree with Jim I would try not to drink and see what happens.
