Which tricylic antidepressant do you think would be best for a combo of OCD and GAD?

Hi again,

When I took anafranil I didn't get relief from OCD, but it did help my depression when li was added. Now, I'm taking high dose lexapro (20mg) for OCD and I think it might be helping some. High dose Luvox would probably do the same thing.

Bye,

Dave

Anafranil is supposed to be good for anxiety. Actually my old dog was prescribed it because she was afraid of everything (and she was this huge dog!) She would start to salivate and shake. Anafranil calmed her right down. I used to steal some of her pills to help me sleep. :-)

Don't know about the OCD though.

Max

Without a doubt Anafranil- I read a clinical report where it was far superior to imimpramine for panic, OCD, GAD- and there was a lot of people in this study. That being said Anafranil has been a disaster for me!
Good luck with it,
Ace.
