can 5htp be taken with lithium ??

Lithium is supposed to increase the uptake of tryptophan into the brain. Could 5htp be safely taken with lithium to improve its effects ?

Not positive, but i'm pretty sure it would be okay. Lithium has some moderate serotonergic properties, but nothing major right? i even combined 5-htp with Paxil at times with no bad effects so i think it would be ok. Just try a low dose first if you'd like.
