i started on lithium about 10 days ago. i'm also on 300mg of effexor. after a week at 600mg on the lithium, i'm now on my third day at 900mg. how long does lithium take to work? i've noticed some improvement, especially in my agitation level, but i'm hoping i'll get more out of it. will i notice more improvement after being on the drug longer, or is this it?

You many people say that the longer they're on lithium the better. This drug causes an increase in grey matter, which is evident after a month.
