Has anyone had SE's of bloating and gas on Lexapro? I have been struggling with this - it makes social engagements rather embarrassing!
Any solutions (other than backing into a corner? :-)

This is in answer to jlo820's message.I'm not sure the Lexapro has caused it but I have never had gas this badly and it seemed to start when I started Lexapro. I can't think of anything else I am doing that would cause it. Thanks for reply!

I re-read the prescribing information for Lexapro and the problem you mentioned has been reported during the clinical trials, but not with great frequency.

I have to admit (reluctantly) that I did experience this side effect of Lex...lots of gas and terribly bloated feeling. On an encouraging note, that SE did go away after a while. Starting month 6 @ 10mg. I never did anything about it other than trying to hide it, and not offend. Not sure if any of the OTC anti-gas meds might help?
