This post has been very helpful to me. I cant believe it was posted years ago. [url]http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/20030823/msgs/254431.html[/url] Why doesn't anyone give us all this information before they put us on these drugs?
I started out with 25mg of Prozac and besides making me dizzy it increased my paniac attacks. After almost a year of being on Prozac for my depression I was switched to Paxil.
I have been taking Paxil now for 6 months at 25mg. It worked great at first and now the effects seems to be waining. I hate the side effects of Paxil....weight gain and decreased sexual desire. I want to be thin again...(I went from 126 to 160 :( ugh!)
If I miss more than 2 days of my Paxil I will get flashes and starz. I'm afraid of what will happen when I go off Paxil. Prozac withdrawls for me were nothing compared to this.
I'll contact my doctor after reading this thread. I was at first going to try it without his help.
Question: Does anything for depression ever work without the effects of excessive weight gain and extreme lack of sexual desire? Please help me! I want a depression free life without these side effects.
