I just started Gabatril 2 mg. at night for anxiety. I can't decide whether to continue. So far all it did was keep me awake.
Any advice?

Thanks for the links. Strange stuff. I stopped taking it. I might try it again if I don't get accepted into an NIH study. I'm supposed to be drug-free (except for Ambien for sleep). I don't know if I can manage that because my anxiety is very, very bad, and I've been taking more and more klonopin.Ilene

My pdoc says that some of his colleagues have had good success with Gabitril for anxiety. He hasn't prescribed it for his patients, but gave me some free samples to try. I just found that it made me sleepy -- nothing bad, but nothing great either. Klonopin is much more effective for me, but Gabitril might be useful for insomnia (apparently it's already being used off-label for that purpose).

That's the strange thing. It gave me insomnia!
