I've just been prescribed Wellbutrin SR. the accompanying literature is scary. I'm especially worried about alcohol consumption, as I am a regular drinker. My doc recommended "moderation". Has anyone had personal experience: good, bad or indifferent with alcohol and this drug? thanks.

As I've said before, just carefully experiment. Knock back one... wait a few minutes.... if everything's ok, have another. Repeat until either something odd happens (headache, tremor, etc), or you're done.
Personally, I've been plastered on Wellbutrin with NOOO effect whatsoever. No hangover effects either.

Hi, i have been on Wellbutrin for aprox 4 months,i have been on prozac in the past, i have very bad effects with alcohol. as soon as a certain ammount gets in to my system, i turn into this other person,i'm violent and mean, and i have total black outs and dont' remember anything. It's a scary thing, just happened twice, once on wellbutrin and once on prozac, otherwise i drink a certain amount and would get sick before i could get even far enough to black out. I quit Drinking because of this.
