Best Thing to Combine with Selegiline????

Posted by bipolarspectrum on January 24, 2004, at 14:31:43

Hello,
I just started Selegiline for depression and anxiety. I'm experiencing an improvement in my mood but an increase in 'inner tension'. I was wondering what people combine with Selegiline (deprenyl) to ease this type of anxiety???
Thanx for reading

I've tried it before at 5mg a day(tablets) and after a month or so on it I started feeling psychotic. So beware... I heard DL-Phenylalanine is good to combine with it. You might wanna try liquid deprenyl citrate. It's a cleaner form. This week in my Anti-Aging Bulletin from IAS, James South MA shows his "personal supplement regime". Anyways, here's an excerpt from it with a little info on Deprenyl.

"One of my favorite nootropic's is liquid Deprenyl Citrate. I had used Jumex(Deprenyl HCL) intermittently over the years, but found that it didn't agree with me. It often made me irritable, anxious, "uptight" and even depressed at times. About 2 years ago Dr. Ward Dean convinced me to try the liquid Deprenyl, and much to my surprise I found it to be qualitatively different from Jumex. I find it to be an excellent mood elevator, psychoenergizer, and motivation-enhancer. It has improved my fine neuromuscular control, and seems to be a dopaminergic neuroprotector. I take 1-3 drops sublingually upon arising every morning. It may not be a coincidence that I've written more in the past few years than the previous decade."

Don't know if it would give much different results but I thought I'd post that. Good luck!
