Buspar, when to take doses

Posted by CindyLou on January 26, 2004, at 23:24:19

Hi,
Just a simple question on Buspar -- I was told to take it twice daily, but not WHEN to take it. Do I take it in the morning, and then before bed? Or in the morning, and then a few hours later?

I'd appreciate some feedback! Hope you are all doing well; I haven't posted for awhile.

Thanks,
Cindy

Hi,

I take BuSpar 5mg 3 times per day, 1 at breakfast, 1 at lunch and 1 at tea time.

Take 1 tablet when you get up, and then take the next approximately halfway through the day i.e. about 4pm (ish), or approximately 8 hours after you awoke.

Take care.

Thank you so much for your response. Can I ask if you have had a good experience with Buspar? Do you take it for anxiety? Does it make you tired or wired or neither? Sorry for all the questions, but I am eager to hear of someone else's experience, especially if it's positive!

Do you take it 3x a day because it "wears off" after 5 hours or so?

Thanks in advance for your help! I really appreciate it.

Cindy
