maybe your like me and many many many others who are just treatment resistant and IT's the DEPRESSION that is killing our libido!! God I wish I was 24 again. If they ever come up with a med that really is truly effective for dep and anxiety and does not have Sexual side effects ---then wer talkin!! But then they might decide that it is "habit forming or have some 'Serious side affect like say {death} just kidding- and not let it get "FDA Approved and not allow it to all of us suffering souls!! keep hangin in there!

Yes, Deprenyl can be useful. Parnate, an irreversible MAOI, can also have a very pro-sexual effect and is quite a bit more powerful than Wellbutrin. Dopamine agonists such as Mirapex, bromocriptine, or Dostinex might also be worth considering.

Viagra is only supposed to help with erection. But a lot of people report that it also helps with libido and makes them feel less depressed to some extent (especially if they are already on an antidepressant).

Well Bertill, me and you would make a perfect couple. I am a young female with no sex drive either ... AT ALL. Maybe once a year, I get lucky, if thats what you wanna call it. I got off all my medication 2 1/2 weeks ago and I feel the same. I cannot even hold a relationship because sex is the last thing i want to do :( Pretty sad.

My depression was never affected by my sex drive, but the darn antidepressants did. It did it within 3 days.

If you want to feel moderately better, gain weight, have no orgasms, and have severe carb cravings, ask you doctor if a SSRI is right for you.

I agree I have no emotions whatsoever nor much response to things. Not exactly sure what to think of when I have no sexual drive at 25 and am not on meds.

Nice, but Viagra only gives you an erection if you are excited, not if you lack sexual desire.

Its not an aphrodisiac.

From personal experience, Viagra worked for me. I have been on AD's mainly SSRI'S for over 13 years. Currently, there are at least two new Viagra alternatives which claim even better results and fewer side effects. There is sex after AD's!!!
