I have both Klonopin and Clonodine. I understand one is a benzo and the other is a antihypertensive. When i take 0.2mg of clondine, i feel very sedated sorta like taking 2-3 Klonopin. My question is can you replace Klonopin with Clonidine. I have like 25 clonodine, and a few klonopin left, so when i run out, i want to switch to clonodine if i feel withdrawls. My appointment for klonopin is not till 7 days.
need some opinions

Clonidine can calm you however you have to be careful not to lower your blood pressure too quickly or too much. I would check with your pdoc tp be sure. terrics

Years ago when I went through klonopin withdrawls I was given I clonodine patch. It helped some but if you start withdrawls cold turkey your clonodine will not replace the klonopin. cut those pills in half and try to keep some klonopin going until you get a refill.
