It made me terribly manic, but I know other people who have had success. Needless to say, you are looking for relief from depression I hope.

Yes, I'm on effexor xr and wellbutrin xl for bipolar2. It's been a very good combination for me so far (last October was when I started).

Hi,
Effexor is known for being an antdepressant that makes BPs manic. I was on a combo of effexor and adderall and personally I LOVED the pdoc called it hypomania I called it having a slice of life, the best I ever felt but they took me off it and now my slice of life is gone.

I am BPII and Effexor drove me insane. I was euphoric/hypomanic one day and sobbing incontrolably by the next evening. In fact, it is mostly my severe adverse reaction to Effexor that clued my pDocs to the fact I was bipolar (I had previously been misdiagnosed).
